Exhibition
The form will be accompanied by a specialized exhibition on the modern ideas and innovations of urban planning and cities and services management. In fact, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs seeks to increase the competitiveness of cities and to shape sustainable cities, by raising the efficiency of services, improving urban planning methods and ways, developing qualified personnel to adopt innovative and modern planning ideas and solutions and managing the provision of municipal services and land development.
Furthermore, the accompanying exhibition is the right place to build effective partnerships between regional, local and international companies, specialists from the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, secretariats, municipalities and governmental agencies, including service providers at the municipal level as well as regional and international institutions operating in this field and through the following sections:
- Modern and wise urban planning solutions
This section of the exhibition will display the wise urban planning solutions, including computer and smartphones software and programs on the planning, analysis and follow-up; unconventional urban planning solutions suggested by consulting offices; their national and international experience in the provision of innovative planning solutions for economically, environmentally and socially sustainable cities; methods and mechanisms of public participation in planning; civil community institutions and their experience in stimulating the participation in planning and coordinating the roles of partners to improve the urban environment; as well as the preparation of urban indicators and cities prosperity indicators and local and international experience in supporting the planning decisions through the indicators in addition to various analysis programs and assistance in the decision-making process.
- Utilities services and main equipment
This section will be allocated for the companies specialized in providing utilities and suggesting wise management and implementation solutions, including roads, water lines, sewerage systems, sanitation services, waste segregation, public transportation means, metro, provision of public parking lots, in addition to their management solutions, innovative solutions for the management of natural and environmental disasters in cities, programs and systems for the responsiveness and preparedness in case of services and utilities related problems.
- Municipal services and finance
This section is designed for the companies specialized in cities management, participation of both public and private sectors in the management in order to promote the local productivity and maximize revenues and expenditure rationalization and for the cities which have built efficient partnerships with the private sectors in order to provide municipal services and wise solutions that contribute to reducing the time required to obtain professional licenses and build
- Urban lands management
This section will be allocated for the companies and institutions specialized in the land management, provision of programs and systems to improve the land uses, methods to provide and allocate lands for different projects, land pricing and development revenues assessment, in addition to the innovative solutions to impose duties on lands and the related implementation method, lands and properties registration and transfer and information networking.
- Capacity-building for sustainable urban development
This section will be allocated for the companies, institutions and centers specialized in the provision of innovative training on the modern cities management, urban planning, community involvement, lands management, municipal finance, use of geographical information systems and other urban development planning and management systems.
